Capital Projects and Premises Manager
Salary: £39,867 - £42,855 per annum
Flexible hours, part-time or full-time.
We need an enthusiastic and proficient project manager to work with design consultants on school construction projects.
Merton has a large number of excellent Community schools and we need an enthusiastic and proficient project manager to work with design consultants on a large number of smaller projects mostly related to school condition, and some larger projects, to ensure they are delivered effectively.
You will need to have experience of construction projects preferably in the schools sector as you will need to negotiate affordable projects with schools, manage the external design team responsible for delivering them and to ensure there is a methodical approach to their management. Most importantly, you will need to have good project management skills.
This is an excellent opportunity to make your mark in this key role to ensure the council provides the buildings that our children deserve.
