Mechanical Multi-Skilled Engineer
£33k + Overtime + On call

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delivery of planned, routine & reactive maintenance to all building plant, equipment and systems, to meet and exceed expectations, and agreed service level agreements.
- Carry out PPM & Reactive maintenance to all client assets which may include gas fired appliances, steam systems, air conditioning, refrigeration & chiller systems, lighting & emergency lighting.
- Test and Inspection of BMS Systems - fault diagnosis
- To ensure general housekeeping is maintained
- Performance and support to minor works activities
- Assist other trades in completion of multi-disciplinary works
- Respond to Building Management System alarms, and effect emergency repairs as needed.
- Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of plant.
- Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices iaw SSoW
- Comply with contractual commitments, and site operating processes.
- To develop a good working relationship with all members of Interserve staff and clients staff especially within team quadrant.
- Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required.
- Ensure a professional image of Interserve is presented to clients and visitors, and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times.
- Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Formally trained in Mechanical Engineering that includes HVAC plant, plumbing systems, steam plant, gas appliances maintenance dependant on relevant Apprenticeship, City & Guilds, NVQ and or Gas Safe qualifications.
- General all round knowledge of maintaining Building critical systems, building support systems and their methods of control
- Knowledge of BMS and electrical systems would be an advantage
- Experience of maintaining high specification plant serving laboratory or office environments
- IOSH Working Safely desirable
- Must be able to read M&E drawings
- Good Mechanical knowledge
- Good communication skills
- Calm manner, able to work under pressure
- Able to make sound decisions when needed
- Able to ascend and descend vertical access equipment
- Able to work at heights
- A team player, able to work with Interserve Services and clients staff of all levels
- Liaising with key stakeholders both within Interserve and the client team.
