We are currently recruiting for a maintenance electrician to work on a commercial facility in the Glasgow area. The maintenance technician will cover PPM and servicing works within the building services sector. You will be expected to have good all-round knowledge of other FM disciplines. Immediate start until the end of December 2020, full time hours, circa 40 hours per week. Monday to Fri, normal working time 8am-5pm. Pay rate £15.00ph on a PAYE basis Limited option available. Ideally you will have an L8 certificate or have knowledge of Legionella prevention and compliance
Description
Within the maintenance electrician role, you will be carrying out all planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across the facility. You will be working over a diverse site therefore a flexible approach is required as you will often be called to carry out or support works that are outside your core discipline.
Duties & Responsibilities
To undertake planned and reactive maintenance tasks on electrical, control, basic mechanical and building fabric systems
To cover all maintenance of electrical distribution, controls, lighting, emergency systems, building services plant room electrical systems.
To complete PPM’s in line with SLA and KPI agreements
To provide Electrical H&S and compliance engineering
To carryout fault finding on systems up to 415v
To undertake works on the BMS, power supply, lighting, power generation, HVAC, UPS, A/C units, etc
To respond to Helpdesk requests, providing a professional and timely service
To support the other members of the maintenance team with ad-hoc tasks across all disciplines
Skills & Background Required:
Recognised professional qualification e.g. Level 3 SNVQ etc.
17th or 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
PPM and reactive maintenance experience – including general mechanical plant (AHU’s, fan coils etc.)
Must have own basic hand tools and PPE
Must be presentable and reliable
Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
Strong planning and workload management skills with the ability to manage short term and long-term activities to agreed deadlines
SJIB not essential
Familiar with job booking sheets, PDA’s and paperwork (PPM’s, permits, timesheets etc.)
