We are recruiting for a permanent commercial maintenance plumber / mechanical technician to cover PPM and reactive maintenance on sites in the Lanarkshire region. The mechanical engineer will be responsible for all repairs and upkeep to the water and mechanical services on commercial facilities across the area plus small works refurbishments etc. 37.5 hours per week, circa 24-25k plus OT and benefits.
As the Maintenance Plumber / Fitter your daily tasks will include
Completing reactive repairs, planned maintenance and small works projects. To cover the following plant:
Hot and cold water feeds
Pumps and valves
Non-Gas Boiler work
Drainage
Mechanical plant room
Leak repair
Water heaters and cylinders
Water Tank
L8 prevention and thermostatic mixer valves
Plus other associated tasks
Plumber Requirements:
Candidates will be time served and have as a minimum City and Guilds in Plumbing / Mech Engineering
Applicants are expected to have several years prior experience some of which will have been in a similar role and have good customer skills.
It is essential staff are self-motivated and promote a “Can do” customer attitude at all times.
Valid driving license
Ability and desire to complete general fabric maintenance tasks
Mechanically skilled engineer with a knowledge of Building services (water, heating, ventilation and waste)
Be prepared to undertake training as required by the post and the contract manager.
Operate all systems within the building in a competent, effective and efficient manner, adhering to relevant guidelines and bulletins.
