Lots of companies talk about "rapid growth" and "successful business" well, in the past 12 months our group turnover has gone from £200 million to £1.4 billion and we have 80 sites around the UK. At present our internal FM team stands at 1.
That 1 person, our National Estates and Facilities Manager, is great. She's been with us for years, knows the company inside out and has been integral to our rapid growth - but 80 sites is lot to deal with on her own so she needs a hand. That's where you come in.
Working closely with her you'll be involved in everything to do with facilities, health and safety and contractor management across our estate. From maintaining risk assessment or survey databases to planning PPMs, booking works or even larger projects like office moves you'll gain experience across the full remit of hard and soft FM in an internal team. There'll be lots of interaction with our employees; from the executive board through to front of house staff.
To be able to hit the ground running it would be great if you had facilities or estates management experience before, an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification would be a bonus.
What's just as important though is personality. If you're the sort of person who enjoys having lots of different projects on the go, using your initiative and working with lots of internal stakeholders this is the job for you.
