We are recruiting for 6 experienced Building and Fabric Surveyors to work with a highly prestigious Facilities Company. This is an ongoing contract paying £200.00 PAYE per day or £250.00 Umbrella per day. Mileage paid. Based in Liverpool working on Educational facilities. Main work is Liverpool but you will be required to report to the Manchester office on a weekly basis
Main role of job - completing asset and dilapidation reports plus condition surveys, verification, data collection and estimating/costing for major refurbishment and maintenance projects on each facility. The sites are schools – No DBS required.
On Offer:
Building / Fabric Surveyor Duties:
Duties will involve visiting each site and producing a detailed evaluation on all the building and fabric condition including:
· building services
· Building structure
· Roofing
· Refurbishment
· Doors and windows
· Decoration and fittings
· Room design and structure/layout
· Trim and final fittings
· Brickwork and plaster condition
· Overlap with HVAC and M&E – plumbing, plant room, lighting and electrical etc.
This will follow several collection methods including:
· Asset and dilapidation reports
· Verification surveys
· Reconciliation
· Building surveys
· Estimation and costing (where required)
Requirements:
The candidate will need to use their knowledge of the building and trade industry to survey, verify and estimate the cost of the work required to bring the facilities up to the planned required level.
The candidate must have a general trade or technical background, experience with surveying and asset collection practices with a sound working history within the industry.
They must be able to complete manual reports and provide cost and logistic estimates to the project. This may require them to operate with some autonomy from the central office as part of the mobile team. They must have experience of:
· Asset and dilapidation reports
· Verification surveys
· Reconciliation
· Plant surveys
· Building surveys
· Estimation and costing (where required)
