A large NHS organisation are looking for an exceptional leader with credible experience and knowledge in managing a large Hard FM function. You will be working in an environment that encourages development, recognises success and is excited by change. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • As the General Manager you will lead and drive a proactive approach to Hard FM services that will ensure the Trust delivers all of its key objectives;
  • You will ensure that there are robust processes, mechanisms and tools in place to ensure services deliver on time and to the highest standards;
  • Lead and manage all planned preventive maintenance, repairs and minor works;
  • Manage associated budgets and staff (including an in-house workforce of 80+ trade staff) across multiple sites;
  • Manage the service ensuring best use of available resources;
  • Plan and ensure effective and efficient service delivery;
  • Diligently maintain estates statutory, regulatory and HTM compliance;
  • As and when required, deputise for the Associate Director of Estates;
  • Deliver sustainable healthcare services to patients, which are effective, efficient and driven by
  • Excellence;

  • Improvements to the health of the people served by delivering exceptional care, teaching and research, every day.

A successful candidate will have:

  • Have a proven track record of successful operational management of large estates within a healthcare environment;
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in a technical field of Hard FM;
  • Have a passion for working in a healthcare environment;
  • Outstanding stakeholder management experience; operating at a senior level
  • Have chartered membership of a recognised body i.e. IHEEM IMECHE RICS, RIBA CIOB etc.
