The Role: Project Engineer

Location: Hampshire

Sector: Construction / Manufacture

Salary: £28,000 to £35,000pa DOE

My client is forward thinking company going through a period of evolution. They are driven by quality in all things, from design through to delivery and they will not be compromised on the product they deliver.

Due to their continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Project Engineer to the in-house Development team, working on best-in-class developments for commercial real estate clients.

This is a genuinely exciting, task led opportunity for a creative, practical and skilled person to join them as they take their modern techniques and product through all developmental stages

Key Responsibilities


  • CAD modelling/definition - in Inventor - of Modular Products using inputs from architectural & construction design info (drawing and models), creating outputs of 3D parametric CAD models and 2D part drawings.
  • Co-ordinating with any appointed suppliers or manufacturing design consultants, where necessary.
  • Production of test plans and validation reports.
  • Production of layouts, BOMs and part drawings to ensure both procurement and manufacturing can describe, procure and make the product.
  • Produce drawings and compile technical instructions to create production packs for use within our manufacturing facility.
  • Support the development of in-house designs with ideas, package studies, layouts and concept work.
  • Assist the development of additional manufacturing information – floor layouts, SOPs, cuttings lists.
  • Production of 3D illustrative information for stakeholder future decision-making

You Must Have:


  • Degree in relevant technical discipline – Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • 2+ years in an engineering / manufacturing business
  • Experience in producing assembly drawings, layouts, scheme, part drawings.
  • Experience of producing prototypes and test execution.
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings, CAD draughting standards and applying GD&T to part drawings.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design constraints - material, tolerance, process etc. would also be beneficial
