As a result of the expansion our client is currently recruiting a HVACR Technical Manager to join the established team based near Leeds to sustain their continued success. The company has a 44 year history of providing consultancy services and delivering turnkey projects. They are midway through a 5 year expansion plan to grow and develop the business yet further:
HVACR Technical Manager
Salary and Benefits: £40,000 to £50,000 + benefits depending on experience
This is a senior role, reporting directly to the Managing Director, offering scope for real job satisfaction. We are looking for someone who is capable of assuming responsibility for a wide variety of client problems whilst delivering quality working solutions often requiring a novel approach. For the right person with energy, enthusiasm and confidence then the role offers a great opportunity in this growing business. Candidates will have the potential to take leading management roles within the business going forward.
On a day to day basis the role includes the design of a wide range of variable products and systems covering all facets of HVACR design:
Sales
- Technical sales
- Concept/solution development at enquiry stage
- Oversee compilation of competitive winning bids
- Sales support at point of sale
- Involvement with contract detail
Projects
- Detailed development of final solution
- Supervision of design team to ensure accurate delivery
Management
- Keeping the business up to date with current and future technology
- Ensuring compliance with current standards
- New product development
- Customer support
- Business direction
We are ideally looking for the following skills, experience and attributes:
- Relevant technical design experience across all HVACR fields
- Sales experience
- Food and Drink industry experience
- Good team management skills
- A minimum engineering qualification to HND or degree level
- Demonstrable experience gained in a similar role
- Use of industry standard design and selection software
- Adaptability
- A full UK drivers licence as regular travel to client sites anywhere in the UK will be required
The working hours are 37.5 hours a week. The holiday allowance is 25 days plus statutory, with 1 additional day granted under the company CSR policy for team members to volunteer at a project or charity of your choice.
