Management Accountant Finance Manager
We are recruiting on behalf of a large Facilities Management Organisation for Management Accountant to work on a large Facilities Management Contract in Bury St Edmonds, Suffolk

- £45,000 - £55,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus
- Full time, permanent

As the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for providing finance accounting, reporting and all necessary financial support for the contract. You will be the “face of Finance” at the local level – communicating to / from the Operating Contract to Finance.
The initial role involves a lot of day to day face to face communication with Managers and Supervisors giving them insight into finances and how things work so excellent communication skills is a must to get a coherent message across to the teams.
Duties include
- Balance sheet and Cash flow forecasting
- Work with contract management to ensure that plans, budgets and forecasts for the contract are both challenging and achievable.
- Under guidance from BP Partner with the contracts to shape and manage performance KPI’s.
- Intervene where required to support compliance and alignment objectives.
- Drive for value at the bottom line, with a focus on revenue enhancement / protection and on cost saving opportunities.
- Monthly management accounts in line with current accounting standards
- Owners of P&L and Balance Sheet
- Budget and Forecasting with Operational Managers
Qualifications or Required Experience
- Candidates will have a a Management Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA) or working towards being qualified
- Previous relevant experience in a Finance Manager Role/Management Accountant role
- Good financial & commercial acumen
- Able to work under pressure and have excellent communication skills
- Ability to analyse complex data with accuracy
- Good communicator and strong inter-personal skills
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and customer service skills
- Excellent planning & administration skills
- Strong IT skills with excellent working knowledge of ERP system e.g. SAP
- MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
