The Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions and child maintenance policy. As the UK’s biggest public service department, we operate on a scale that is almost unmatched anywhere in Europe and most people in Britain will be in contact with us at some point in their lives.

The DWP Estates function is accountable for the service delivery of key real estate services, facilities management and project management either directly or through third party supplier partners across DWP’s portfolio of over 800 properties. We have undergone major change recently, exiting a 20-year PFI contract and introducing a brand-new operating model to transform the way we deliver to the Department. Our aim is to be recognised across Government as a leader in our field.

As a member of the DWP Estates (Finance Group) Senior Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in leading the drive for excellence and innovation across all Real Estate services and operational project management, either directly or through third parties, across a large and complex, geographically dispersed property portfolio.  Managing a multi-million pound operational and capital expenditure budget, this role will suit an experienced, technically proficient Real Estates professional who has a track record in leading and inspiring teams with a large, complex, and demanding remit, whilst nurturing essential relationships with our supply chain.

This an exciting time of transformational change and offers the opportunity lead a team that is inspired to make a difference. For a confidential conversation about the role, please contact Michael Dobson on 020 7426 3968, Julie Myers on 07595 779915, or Paddy O’Hara on 0113 205 6098.

Closing date for applications: 5pm on Friday 10 January 2020.
