We are currently recruiting for Procurement Manager to work on a large FM contract. The function of the role is to be responsible for maximising delivered financial value on the contract which would be measured by successfully and smoothly implementing new supplier contracts and delivering ongoing value and savings.

Reporting to a Senior Procurement Manager, duties and responsibilities of this role include:


  • Delivering financial value (including bottom line savings) on an ongoing basis, meeting specific in-year targets whilst proactively looking for new opportunities.
  • Supplier Framework Agreements and Contracts are used and publicised across the business to ensure colleagues are aware of who to buy from and how much to pay.
  • Managing suppliers ensuring best value, fitness for purpose, risk reduction and a quality service to the end customer.
  • Identify opportunities to deliver value by alignment with our Category approach and manage the successful delivery and transparent reporting of deliverables.
  • Streamlining procurement processes and procedures
  • Ensure the company is leveraging parent company group agreements.
  • Inputs are proactively made to all reporting (compliance, spend, savings and other) including recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Localised Procurement needs are aligned to a Category approach wherever possible.
  • Engage with operational teams to manage the performance of subcontractors.
  • Responsible for delivering challenging budgetary targets.
  • Identifying, monitoring and reporting on spend across a matrix of contracts.
  • Supporting the management and mitigation of spend at all levels (operational, financial, commercial, technical, etc).

Qualifications or Required Experience:  


  • Suitable procurement, commercial and or financial / accounting or QS experience within a similar industry sector
  • Ideally Educated to degree/ diploma level (or working towards) in either Procurement Business Law, Surveying, Accounting Understanding and practical application of base UK law applicable to Commercial / contracts
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to tailor approach based on the audience
  • Financial acumen with an ability to analyse data and documentation with accuracy
  • PC Literate with knowledge of MS applications e.g. Word, Excel
