The Design & User Experience (DUX) Team, within Estates Transformation, deliver the workspace vision in support of the Government Hubs Programme and the associated specialist, transitional and front line facility sites.

Job description
In this role you will be involved in working with a broad range of partners including HMRC and wider governmental customers; colleagues across Estates and the BoFL Programme; design consultants and the supply chain.
The designer will adhere to the estate requirements and standards for Client Briefs, using a detailed understanding of operational plans and organisational changes to ensure the future workspace is flexible and works effectively and efficiently, creating excellent places to work. The role requires an eye for technical detail i.e. building services systems, spatial design and product selection including furniture fittings and equipment (FFE)
ResponsibilitiesYour key areas of responsibility are recognised as but are not limited to:
- Lead on the production and the revision of completion of project Client Briefs through the RIBA stages 1-3 advising and presenting key partners the aims and objectives of the project.
- To research, communicate and maintain an accurate and detailed schedule of the Hubs Programme location’s estate, space and people requirements.
- Respond positively and flexibility to the needs of Property Acquisition and C&FO colleagues, advising on Shell and Core + Cat A and Cat B works proposals in due diligence phase acquisitions.
- Comprehend, use and improve the HMRC/GPA Hubs Design Guides, contribute to their continuous improvement. To build knowledge and understanding of accessible, inclusive design standards/guide and HMRC’s ambition in Govt Hubs using it when advising on furniture, room layouts and day to day operation by customers. Assist with Complex Commercial evaluation for Govt Hub, FFE
- Manage the design element of a number of future Estate Transformation projects including Govt Hubs, Specialist/Transitional sites and Front line facilities, becoming the design go-to person for customers and technical colleagues.
- Understand, develop and communicate estate change requirements, providing a pivotal link between customers and programme colleagues, including the supply chain, with project management process accountabilities
