Catering Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Catering Manager for a leading Facilities Management Organisation to work on a contract based in Central Bedfordshire which includes multiple sites.
Ideally you will have managed school catering canteens or hotels, hospitals or universities

Duties Include:
- Managing a team of staff working in the kitchens across the catering unit’s accordance with the current legislation
- Adhering to Government guidelines on Food Safety legislation, Allergens and Food Labelling legislation, Cultures, Faiths and dietary requirements.
- Develop menus and special offers to be delivered in all units in the group
- Cover in the kitchens, when necessary to cover in the Chef’s absence
- Full knowledge and understanding of service and menus types
- Providing and coordinating staff training on all statutory Food Safety, Allergen and all other mandatory training required by food handlers according to current legislation
- Monitoring and auditing suppliers against quality and compliance of all legislation
- Ensure that all cleaning standards meet the requirements of legislation and company policy
- Produce monthly report, for the activities of all the 3 units in the contract, outlining meal numbers, performance and any catering information
- Any other duties required and deemed reasonable to the position in relation to the needs and requirements of the business.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Previous experience managing the catering functions for multiple sites ideally in the education sector
- Experience managing a team within catering
- Demonstrable knowledge of food safety legislations
