As Maintenance Manager, you will work across Royal Botanic Gardens (RBG), Kew and Wakehurst Estate, overseeing the delivery and implementation of the planned preventative, emergency and reactive maintenance. Highly collaborative and organised, you will be able to prioritise allocated resources and manage contracted services to ensure the business can operate without loss of functions and in the most cost-effective manner. You will manage the in-house maintenance team and liaise with 3rd party contractors, deploying and managing both financial and physical resources.
You will have excellent problem solving skills, able to make complex decisions for technical services, including working as Authorised Person for Health & Safety and dealing with technical information and designs. You will also be responsible for disseminating and managing budgets, as well as working on operational finance challenges.
Educated to degree level or with a demonstrable level of experience in engineering, construction, engineering training or building services, you will have significant senior level management experience of in-house and outsourced estates management service delivery. You will also have trained and working knowledge of H&S legislation and financial management in the delivery of FM services.

This post will be based at Kew Gardens, Richmond with 1 day per week spent at Wakehurst, West Sussex.
