The Company:
You will be working for an internationally renowned, award winning, multi-million pound facilities management service provider. They operate in multiple industry sectors including critical environments, aviation, retail, public services, commercial, sports and leisure. They provide versatile mechanical and electrical building services to over 1200 UK sites.
The Role:
Our client is looking to recruit a maintenance manager for a large shopping centre in Telford. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing engineers for all mechanical and electrical PPM and reactive site maintenance.
Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices and in line with customers Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
- Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal & Team development, highlighting skill gaps and supporting team on technical matters.
- Identify any defects found and provide quotation to carry out remedial works or quotations for new installations to line manager.
- To Supervise and assist in the replacement or new installations of equipment as directed. Providing quotations where required.
- To be on hand to provide assistance on breakdowns and support engineers when required
- To Ensure the team respond promptly and within SLA to all reactive job request ensuring that the client and manager are kept up to speed with progress of the reactive works
- Install a first time fix attitude within the engineer team to get issues resolved quickly and efficiently
- To manage RAMS insuring they are submitted on time and to the correct standard and insure engineers complete site specific RAMS before all PPM and Reactive works.
- Manage and quality check engineers work and electronic job sheets, insuring our high standards are maintained.
- To carry out engineer audits which would include PPE, vehicles, tools, ladders and Tool Box Talks
- Maintain the company's professional image at all times through positive presentation, behaviours and attitudes. Uniform to be worn at all times.
- Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all Client representatives and ABM Technical Solutions employees.
- Ensure the provision of a Safe & Healthy working environment and promote a positive safety culture and ensure company safety rules are adhered to at all times.
- To operate software systems promptly and effectively to ensure efficient maintenance activities.
- Ensure work reports, and necessary documentation is sent to the Admin team promptly within set timescales.
- To attend Client meetings and provide effective communications to Contract Manger and Admin team.
Essential:
- To maintain up-to-date knowledge of technical and professional aspects of work and the ability to apply an appropriate level of expertise.
- To convey ideas and messages clearly and openly. To involve people and to influence decisions.
- Is reliable and focussed in achieving results within quality and time restraints.
- The ability to understand, anticipate and deliver customer (internal and external) needs while building effective relationships.
Maintenance Manager Salary Package
- Salary package: £38,000 plus £2000 Bonus
- Holiday: 22 Days plus Bank Holidays
