The Role: Gym Maintenance Technician
Location: Central London
Salary: £28k - £30k plus gym membership, travelcard

Established over 15 years ago with sites across Central London our gyms are the best place in the city for a fun work out with diverse equipment and, because of our success, we're looking to add people to our facilities engineering team.
If you're looking for a cool work place where you'll be making a difference to people's day everyday (plus free gym membership!) this is the Building Maintenance Technician role for you.
Based from one of our sites each day you'll work closely with the gym's management team to make sure the electrical, mechanical, plumbing and fabric of our buildings is kept up to spec, reactive work is dealt with efficiently and the health and safety of customers and employees is top priority.
Day to day this will involve general building maintenance, PAT testing, emergency light and fire alarm inspections, basic mechanical and electrical fixes. You'll also help the Engineering Manager coordinate small works projects with external contractors.
We're a growing company so as our new Building Maintenance Technician there will also be lots of opportunity to get involved in the handover and mobilisation of new sites too.
Each of our gyms is unique, no cookie-cutter layouts here, so it may take you a while to find our way around but in your first few weeks there will be lots of opportunity for you to shadow the Engineering Manager and get to know your patch.

This Building Maintenance Technician position is a varied role so you'll get lots of exposure to building fabric, mechanical, electrical and plumbing repairs and maintenance. To hit the ground running you'll need to be a good all-rounder who enjoys solving problems.
Our engineering team takes a lot of pride in their work and enjoy providing a great level of customer service so to enjoy your job you'll need to enjoy mixing with our users on a daily basis.
The gyms are lively places with music, light shows and a wide variety of equipment so whilst you wouldn't be working on this specialist kit your day to day environment is going to be bright, energetic and dynamic - a lot like you!

Each of our gyms is unique in terms of layout and equipment but the common theme is providing a great experience for our customers every time they walk through the door and as a Building Maintenance Technician you'll be crucial to this.
Our engineering team is a close knit bunch. Some of them have been with us since we started and know the gyms like the back of their Swarfega-scrubbed hands so they're always available to offer advice whilst the newer members are encouraged to contribute ideas and continue developing.
