Summary.
Our Client, a leading force in Facilities Management…….
…..have asked Hexagon FM to source a building services maintenance officer with either an electrical or mechanical background to be based at a hospital in Cambridge.
The Role.
This newly created role will bolster the current management team's capability and will be responsible for the following;
* Manage external sub-contractors and professionals
* Help manage the implementation of a permit to work system.
* Review all service reports and ensure any follow-on action is completed
* Preparation, implementation and management of reactive/preventative planned maintenance scheme.
* Maintenance of estate records and log books.
* In the event of emergencies, provide cover, technical and managerial assistance to other Trust unit.
* Ideally can take on Electrical AP duties
* Work 40 hours per week Monday to Friday and participate in the Emergency On-Call Roster.
In essence this role is at a similar level to a supervisor but with less direct man management, more sub-contractor management and more technical/compliance responsibility.
The Person
The person we are looking for must have:
17th Edition (updated)
Strong all-round building services knowledge.
Knowledge of Hospital compliance and building statutory compliance
Experience of working in Hospitals and on Hospital Infrastructure is essential
Ability to develop strong internal and external relationships
