REFCOM launches new employee benefits with Welplan

REFCOM has launched a new partnership with Welplan to provide exclusive employee protection packages for its members, as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations and its campaign message, Keep Your Cool, We’ve Got Your Back.

The new offering is designed to help REFCOM members protect and support the people who keep Britain cool, while also tackling one of the industry’s biggest challenges, recruiting and retaining skilled engineers.

The initiative follows a member survey conducted at the end of 2025, which revealed that 70 per cent of REFCOM members want more support with recruitment and retention. In response, REFCOM has introduced a practical, cost-effective solution that directly supports both employers and their teams.

Available from around £7 per employee per week, the Welplan packages provide a simple way for businesses to offer meaningful protection, including death benefit cover, permanent disability protection, accidental injury benefits, and weekly sick pay support.
