ceda to highlight CSCS card requirements via Webinars

Share with:
ceda is running a series of webinars for its existing Members, Partners and the wider Industry to highlight the organisation’s recognised Industry Training Standards, for CSCS cards.

A CSCS card—short for Construction Skills Certification Scheme card—is a credential used in the UK construction industry to prove that a worker has the necessary training and qualification for the job they are carrying out on a construction site. In 2021 the Construction Leadership Council made it a requirement for applicants to have a suitable NVQ or equivalent qualification.

In response, to ensure the industry was fully aligned, ceda created three Industry Training Standards for Installation Engineers (without ACS gas accreditations), Project Co-ordinators and Project Managers.

Adam Mason, ceda Director General explained: “Uptake has been steady since we launched the Standards four years ago but we have experienced a real surge in enquiries and sign-ups in recent weeks and we currently have 66 people going through the various e-learning modules.

“This, coupled with a number of reports of workers being denied access to construction sites means that these webinars are timely.”

The virtual sessions will last no longer than 30 minutes and provide; a brief background on the evolution of CSCS cards, the content of the Training Standards and how to enrol in order to complete them and gain the correct accreditation.

Register for either of the upcoming Webinars to hear how you can gain accreditation through ceda’s e-learning platform:
