Static Electrical Engineer / Facilities Maintenance 

Bristol - Large Site - Brand New Contract!

BS5 6XX

2 week rota shift pattern, 08:00-17:00

£36,000-£39,000 + Overtime + 1 in 4 call out

Due to a new contract win, One of the UK's leading maintenance companies are looking for a Electrical Engineer to join their team of engineers based on a large commercial site in Bristol, our client can offer imminent progression opportunities as well as further training/qualifications.

The successful Electrical Engineer will be responsible for all reactive and pre planned maintenance on site and integrate in to a team of engineers. They will ideally have previous experience with electrical fault finding and repairs, as well as good knowledge of writing reports and dealing with paperwork.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Provide a reactive and proactive maintenance service
  • Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service, which covers mechanical and electrical disciplines
  • Provide a service that ensures all mechanical and electrical equipment is running to optimum performance
  • Provide a service that ensures all key performance indicators are met
  • Carry out modifications and installations when required
  • Liaise with sub-contractors and external suppliers
  • Take ownership of tools and equipment provided and ensure they are maintained to an appropriate standard
  • Liaise with client/management

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Minimum NVQ/City and Guilds level 3 qualification in relevant engineering maintenance (electrical)
  • Previous maintenance experience in a commercial environment
  • Be flexible towards work & carry out duties that may not be specific to your trade
  • The successful post holder must be qualified to BS7671 (Current Edition of the IEE Regulations)
  • Have at least 5 years associated trade experience post apprenticeship.
  • Be able to partake in a call-out rota (1 in 4)
