The successful Facilities Manager:
Facilities managers are involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day reactive maintenance operations, particularly in relation to buildings and premises. Likely areas of responsibility include:
- Liaising with Restaurant managers regarding relevant work of each premise
- Building and grounds maintenance
- Ensuring statutory checks are carried out across the company - extraction cleaning, grease management, Fire Safety checks
- Keeping track of all checks and follow up where necessary
- Appointing suitable contractors to resolve core maintenance issues
- Designing maintenance programs
- Researching for new equipment
- Handling development and training for new employees in relation to catering equipment
- Implementing preventive maintenance programs
- Adhering to Safety Regulations
- Managing expenditure and costs
- Attend periodically General Managers meetings to update Directors of annual budget as well as cost outlays
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in FM or Maintenance Management role, ideally in hospitality industry.
- Multi-Site experience
- Previous experience dealing with back of house operations
- PPM / Reactive Maintenance background
