The successful Facilities Manager:

Facilities managers are involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day reactive maintenance operations, particularly in relation to buildings and premises. Likely areas of responsibility include:


  • Liaising with Restaurant managers regarding relevant work of each premise
  • Building and grounds maintenance
  • Ensuring statutory checks are carried out across the company - extraction cleaning, grease management, Fire Safety checks
  • Keeping track of all checks and follow up where necessary
  • Appointing suitable contractors to resolve core maintenance issues
  • Designing maintenance programs
  • Researching for new equipment
  • Handling development and training for new employees in relation to catering equipment
  • Implementing preventive maintenance programs
  • Adhering to Safety Regulations
  • Managing expenditure and costs
  • Attend periodically General Managers meetings to update Directors of annual budget as well as cost outlays

Requirements


  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in FM or Maintenance Management role, ideally in hospitality industry.
  • Multi-Site experience
  • Previous experience dealing with back of house operations
  • PPM / Reactive Maintenance background
