Head of Design
Our Project Manager Design is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing design projects from beginning to end, from concept to completion.

- Does a strong interest in changing trends in design come naturally to you?
Then you might be the person we are looking for to team up with our Interior Designer.
Our client currently has 14 hotels located in the Netherlands and is on a mission with their strong ambition to grow internationally; the business has secured funding so is growing across Europe.
They will be opening new hotels in new markets such as the UK, Germany, Scandinavia, France and Belgium, to name a few.
You must have International Experience, ideally, you have designed for and managed Projects in the Hotel and F&B sectors.
This role is a hybrid role, so you can be located anywhere in Europe, but you must be willing to travel as the Head office is based in Amsterdam
What will you do?
- Participate in design meetings and provide continual input to optimise design and concept.
- Develop a Design Delivery Schedule in cooperation with the Interior Designer and Project Manager.
- Develop scope-of-work and contract document deliverables list for related disciplines.
- Negotiate scope-of-work, deliverables and price with partners.
- Work together with Project Manager on Design & Construct running sheet.
- Manage distribution and production of project workload.
- Determine a need for use of outside studios.
- Collaborate on new design issues and research projects.
- Ensure projects are timely, accurate and precise.
- Manage and maintain record keeping of original artwork files and all projects.
- Project prioritisation of design, assignment and management together with the Interior Designer.
- In larger projects manage other interior designers and creatives
- Lead the departmental strategic planning.
Who are you?
- You have a bachelor’s degree in a related field
- You have several years’ experience working on design processes, as well as working with the software and technology needed.
- You are a strong communicator.
- You have strong organisational skills.
- You are able to manage time effectively while working at multiple projects.
- You are a natural problem-solver.
- You have a clear affinity with the hospitality industry.
