The Company:

We are currently working with a leading facilities company to appoint a Service Charge Accountant based in London. The perfect candidate will be hungry to develop and will bring a good amount of experience in a Service Charge role, specifically within a Property Company

The purpose of the Service Charge Accountant will be to be part of the Service Charge team, working within the Commercial Property Management Department on all service charge costs for both commercial and residential property. 

Day to Day


  • In conjunction with the Property Manager, compile the service charge budgets for each of the service charge properties.
  • Load the agreed budgets on to the Horizon Property Management System.
  • Carry out a quarterly budget variance analysis and advise Property Managers.
  • Ability to interpret the service charge provisions of a lease is a must.
  • Upon receiving meter readings, calculate the tenant recharges for electricity used in their demised areas.

Desired Experience.


  • Ability to work with a fair degree of autonomy and under pressure is desirable.
  • Good people and communication skills at all levels is a must.
  • Advanced Excel experience is a must.
  • Knowledge of the Horizon Property Management System would be desirable.
