The Role: Facilities Technician
Location: Bromley

Salary: £40,000pa
Our client is about to launch their latest exciting development in Southeast London and to make this happen we are looking for a dynamic, organised, skilled and experienced Facilities Technician to join them. The stunning asset incorporates a flexible office space, a luxury hotel, a la carte restaurant and events spaces that will, without a doubt, create a new anchor in a thriving town centre.
The Facilities Technician is a hands-on role overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day facilities management provision for the diverse site. The Facilities Technician will assist the Estate Manager in the delivery of the Facilities Management Strategy, ensuring all standards are met, and operational compliance is adhered to.
Due to the unique nature of the asset, working days will based on 5 over 7 with the requirement for occasional weekend working.

This would be a great role for someone who is keen to advance their career and take on more responsibility. Perhaps coming from a hotel engineering position or stepping up from a lead maintenance role.
- Previous experience within an environment where there is a complex/mixed use profile to the building with an overarching drive for “best in class” service and standards.
- Background in Hard (M&E) Facilities Management preferable with understanding of Soft FM and solid health and safety competency.
- Notable experience or a good working awareness of risks when working with legionella, gas, electrical, fire, lifts & asbestos.
- A health and safety or fire safety qualification, such as IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent
- A proactive individual who has worked in a similar role and can effectively manage a diverse workload.
- Living near or within a close commutable distance from the asset
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Estate Manager in the delivery of the Facilities Management Strategy.
- Assist the Estate Manager in the management and control all FM contractors, engineers, and suppliers on-site.
- Assist the Estate Manager with the ongoing SLA management of contractors provisioning: Waste management, Cleaning, Pest control, Maintenance, Security, Vending
- Assist the Estate Manager in the delivery of the Business Continuity Plan, as a member of the incident management team.
- Assist Estate Manager in the management of the building energy strategy in line with budget and positive impact goals.
- Responsible for providing a professional building maintenance service and maintain a high standard relating to plant machinery.
- Able to conduct minor repairs to the asset as assigned including painting and decorating, plumbing, ceiling tiles, carpet tiles, floor tiles and basic HVAC.
- Conducts daily physical inspections of the asset hallways, communal areas, toilets, noting anything that might need repair, maintenance, clean-up, or is a hazard and report same to the Estate Manager.
- Oversee management of the Courtyard for delivery access, Security and Health and Safety.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and control inventory for all hand tools, maintenance equipment and materials.
- Ensure that fire alarms are tested weekly and fire drills are run on periodic basis.
