Salary: £21'290
I'm currently recruiting for a cleaning supervisor to join a well established FM company to be based in York. The role will be covering student accommodation and educational premises. The successful applicant will be given additional training and the opportunity to further progress their career through the British Institute of Cleaning Science.
The role of the cleaning supervisor will be:
- Leading a small team of cleaning operatives across the colleges, managing the day-to-day cleaning operations.
Conducting effective performance management processes of your team such as annual appraisals, regular 1-1's, to meet the business objectives. Including ensuring all colleagues have received the correct training and completed all compliance training.
Performing and documenting cleaning quality control and monitoring checks ensuring they meet high standards.
To manage planned and ad-hoc cleaning services on a daily and long-term basis
Support the Cleaning Manager to plan and manage the summer deep cleans to ensure the buildings are ready for the next academic intake.
Support the management of housekeeping services for the summer conferences.
Support with ordering of consumables and stock control keeping within budgetary requirements. Ensuring they are stored in a safe place.
Ensure all statutory and necessary paperwork is completed on time, including but not limited to timesheets, holiday application forms, absence forms etc.
To provide excellent customer service
Working within COSHH regulations to ensure safety of cleaning and efficient use of cleaning materials.
The Cleaning Supervisor will have:
Excellent communication skills.
Exercise initiative and prioritize duties.
Self-motivated, organised and enthusiastic.
Excellent knowledge of COSHH regulations.
Good IT skills and able to work IT systems.
Knowledgeable of Health and Safety Regulations and managing people.
