Supervising Caretaker

Normanby

£12.42 PAYE

12 weeks ( possibility of permanent)

Our client is looking for a supervising caretaker to join their team in Normanby. This is a temporary role which has the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff after 12 weeks. 

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The post holder is responsible for to provide timely, responsive and pro-active management of the site, including controlled access for Occupiers and visitors; on-site liaison with sub-contractors; the movement of materials and equipment within the site; and the undertaking of ancillary tasks which support the smooth day to day running of the facilities .

DUTIES:


  • Security/safety functions, prevention of trespass and access control, direction in the event of a fire
  • Movement of furniture, equipment and goods in accordance with the Service Requirements
  • Assisting the Occupiers in the movement of equipment and goods within the confines of the Site, on request, during Core Working Hours
  • Reactive cleaning for response to spillages and other minor tasks, including replenishing toilet consumables, checking toilet areas and carrying out a reactive clean to bring the toilet back to a useable state
  • Day to day maintenance and minor repair work to building components, furniture and equipment; including painting of small areas and for making good following the removal of graffiti.
  • Weekly, monthly planned maintenance of Plant and L8 requirements.
  • Assistance to engineers preforming maintenance on site as and where required.
  • Point of contact for tenants and visitors
  • Planning and executing all furniture and equipment reorganisations.
  • Setting out of conference and events rooms as required and as necessary for meetings and functions.
  • To operate always with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Waste Disposal, etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM.
  • Exercise economy and energy efficiency throughout the building where possible
