We are currently recruiting for a Housing Manager to manage a high-profile housing contract, managing maintenance and minor works in Suffolk. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. The Housing Manager's primary role is to be responsible for all Living accommodation across the 3 sites in Suffolk, whether this is family homes or single living accommodation. The role manages a team (including managers, supervisors, helpdesk and engineering) to ensure all M&E, grounds and fabric maintenance are delivered on time. Works should be completed effectively and efficiently, maintaining compliance on all locations and driving service improvements as required.
This role will form an essential part of the operational management of the contract and will be client forward facing, the candidate will work closely with all teams and will have to have excellent communication skills to ensure all operational and contractual obligations are adhered to.
Duties of the role include:
- Responsible for financial and operational delivery of the contract
- Service Delivery of Change of Occupancy Management
- Management of Housing and Dorm Managers
- Liaise with the client on each contract location
- Carry out contract monthly meetings with the client and end user
- Carry quality audits to assist the assurance quality Manager
- Liaise with subcontractors as required
- Complete and review monthly reporting data to be compiled by the administration team
- Managing Supervisors and the delivery team
- Carry out safety audits and deliver staff and sub-contractor inductions, briefing's and tool box talks
- Keep up to date with industry developments, driving innovation and effective change

The ideal candidate for the role will have the following qualities and attributes:
- Experience of managing hard services FM or engineering contracts
- Experience managing a large housing stock
- Strong employee management skills
- Good knowledge and experience in FM management
- Good It skills particularly Microsoft word and excel
- Strong negotiation skills (Requirement)
- H&S qualifications to IOSH standard or equivalent
