We are looking to recruit a Bid Manager for growing UK FM company with EMEA ties to the larger FM group. Our client is driven to secure new business and retain key partners, expanding the business while having a customer focussed mind set.

You will have ownership of bid proposals with both new and existing clients, leading these from arrival to submission. Bids can range from £200K - £15m with the average being circa £2m for ppm and reactive maintenance contracts. Working alongside estimators, bid writers and administrators, you will co-ordinate the team and manage the workflow of the bid team ensuring all bids produced are submitted on time and of a high accuracy and quality.

The company ethos of this client is teamwork so should the need arise you will need to roll your sleeves up and help and team member in their role to get bids in over the line during busy periods. The role is hybrid with some work from the office for team partnership work, some from home and then client visits as you deep appropriate.

 

Main Responsibilities of the Bid Manager will include:


  • Manage domestic an international bid
  • Co-ordinate the bid team to manage the workload
  • Secure new business and retain key partners
  • Ensure all bid solutions are aligned to each customer's needs goals and provide bespoke solutions
  • Lead on new bids from concept through to close ensuring our offers are clearly articulated, cost estimate is adjudicated and signed off and final submissions are reviewed
  • Produce a compelling bid strategy and brief the tender team
  • Oversee individual presentations to potential clients
  • Take responsibility for the quality of all aspects of the bid, including written documentation and presentations, ensuring that written work is clear, concise and compelling
  • Attend hand-over meeting briefing the team on tender bids
  • Work alongside our counterparts within International Business Development on pan European bids
  • Support the development of retention plans with the operational team.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:


  • Strong bid leadership skills, and able to work closely with key personnel across all areas of the business
  • Ability to deliver bids, projects and outputs to a high level of quality within stipulated timeframes
  • Knowledge of relevant FM sectors.
  • Possess solid Commercial and Financial acumen.
  • Experience and success at high level for project management.
  • Knowledge of sales tools, and successful sales and client relations skills to win new business.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
