Chef Manager - NEW ROLE

£35,000 + Company Benefits & Progression

Monday - Friday / 40hr Week

Large Government Contract

We are looking to recruit a Chef Manager for our biggest client on one of the most renowned government contracts in the UK, the site is based in Canary Wharf which is a large office building part of a huge governing body.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a Head Chef role working in a retail environment.

Responsibilities:


  • Comply fully with all Food safety and Health and Safety regulations
  • Produce client reports regarding sales results and productivity
  • Set and ensure monthly targets are achieved across the catering portfolio
  • Co-ordinate and direct supervisors and employees to ensure the delivery of excellent customer service within the restaurant, café and conference areas.
  • Optimising opportunities to exceed budgeted targets and maximising sales, profits and customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to audits that are completed by the company to ensure continual improvement is achieved.
  • Promote the unit and act as a company brand ambassador at all times.
  • Operate, utilise and manage relevant catering IT systems (i.e. EPOS, Saffron) as appropriate
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with policies and procedures on Health & Safety, Quality Assurance & Environment.
  • Investigate and manage customer complaints and compliments in accordance with contract procedures, ensuring all relevant matters are escalated to your line manager.
  • Follow any such reasonable instruction as issued by Senior Line Management

Experience/Skills:


  • 3 years' experience as a Chef Manager in a similar environment
  • Minimum Level 3 Food Safety certification
  • Excellent business acumen and F&B marketing strategy knowledge
  • HACCP experience and extensive Food Safety controls
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverages industry trends and best practices
  • Passionate about food, with a creative flair.
