Location: Covering the North East of England, from Northumberland down to North Yorkshire
Salary: Competitive + Company Van (option for private usage) + mobile phone + tablet + private healthcare, life insurance, critical illness cover, pension and 25 days holiday, plus 8 bank holidays
Hours: 40 hours a week – Monday to Friday
On call: 1 week in every 4
Coleman James Specialist Recruitment are advertising this Fire Alarm Engineer role on behalf of our client – a nationwide market leader in Facilities and Commercial Building Maintenance. As a company they deliver trusted M&E Hard and Building Maintenance Services to clients across the whole of the UK.
Job Purpose:
This position will require you to visit client premises to carry out the service, maintenance and installation of fire alarm systems but other duties may include security systems and access control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and commission fire and security systems
- Planned maintenance of fire and security systems, including repairs, fault-finding and installation work
- Completion of all necessary paperwork and ensure that an accurate and high standard of company documentation is maintained
- Customer liaison and building solid working relationships
- Carry out surveys on client premises
- Undertake reactive calls for fault finding and the repair of faults and “On-Call” rota dutie
Candidates Background & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years fire and security engineering experience
- Experience in all aspects of the fire alarm industry – warden call, fire and intruder alarms, CCTV and Access Control Systems
- Good communication skills, timekeeping and customer service focused
- Willingness to travel
- A full, valid driving licence
