We have significant regeneration opportunities across the Borough including £67.4m of Towns Fund monies and the opportunity to bid for a further circa £80m from the Levelling Up Fund, a metro extension creating opportunities for growth, and the imminent arrival of the commonwealth games bringing a wealth of cultural and economic benefits.

A regeneration strategy and pipeline is in place that sets out multi-million pounds of regeneration opportunities across the borough into a clear and practical plan that will ensure a focus on those opportunities that deliver the greatest impact on Sandwell’s economy and residents. Masterplans have been adopted setting the vision to Level Up West Bromwich Town Centre and the corridor from Birmingham to Smethwick building on the £600m+ investment in the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.
