Commercial Manager
£60,000 - £70,000 p/a, 10% annual Bonus, Car/Car Allowance
Description
We are recruiting for a Commercial Manager to be based in Erdington Birmingham. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary of between £60,000 - £70,000 company vehicle or allowance, 10% bonus and benefits package
What will you deliver?
- Ensure full commercial governance to all subcontractors, leading in all dispute resolution activity and have a thorough input into the dispute resolution activity.
- Improve the financial performance of the contract through continues improvement
- Optimise cashflow, resolve and prevent debt and manage contractual issues.
- Understand complex contracts which have a penalty structure behind them
- Provide day to day commercial support to the account management teams
The Commercial Manager will lead the commercial delivery of a significant PFI service contract within the Energy and Technical Services (ETS) Division and support other contracts in the wider portfolio as required. They will provide contract commercial management and profit improvement, risk and opportunity management along with focus on compliance. In addition they may be required to support growth within on the existing contracts as well as new business development initiatives to extend the suite of contracts in the region.
The Commercial Manager will manage numerous stakeholder relationships, including external relationships with clients, suppliers and SPV/lenders in additional to ETS leadership and functions.

Qualifications
- Suitable commercial experience within the Facilities Management sector. Ideally experience working with PFI contracts or similar
- Educated to degree/ diploma level in either Law, Business, Surveying (Building/Quantity), or the Built Environment (FM, Land).
- Excellent financial acumen with an ability to analyse complex data and documentation with accuracy
- Skilled negotiator with proven experience in a commercial environment
