Commercial Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join an inclusive, friendly Asset Management Organisation  working on PFI contracts in the Coventry region with flexible Hybrid working 3 days on sites 2 days from home

As the Commercial Manager you will provide commercial  support to operational projects on the management and delivery of variations, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, managing, and assisting in disputes and managing service provider replacement.

With a fmaily friendly culture  the role will be based from Coventry region but also have the flexibility to work from home 1 or 2 days week. This is an award winning and diverse organization with market leading benefit packages 

Role Overview

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Provide commercial support and advice to the SPV management teams and Project Board's to minimise risk/ liabilities.
  • Provide commercial management support on 'additional works' procurement and advice to the SPV management teams and Project Board's to minimize risk/ liabilities.
  • Provide commercial management support on 'reactive maintenance' procurement and advice to the SPV management teams and Project Board's to minimize risk/ liabilities.
  • Manage the contract variations processes in line with all contractual documents including ensuring inputs to the financial model are provided to the finance team on a timely basis;
  • Provide commercial advice and support to operational project specifically to deal with matters of contractual dispute;

Role Requirements/Qualifications


  • Previous Commercial Management experience working with PFI projects desirable
  • Variations experience
  • Dispute resolution experience
  • Specific knowledge of the costs of carrying out services and providing materials and equipment
  • Knowledge of and experience working with PFI payment mechanisms
  • Excellent Communication skills
