We are currently recruiting for several Strategic Estates Managers to work on a 12-18 month project which is currently mobilising to support the NHS by providing strategy to the Primary Care Network across the UK. Clinical experts have already been engaged and now we are looking to hire estates experts to join the team and add their sector knowledge to the strategy.
The project will provide an estates guidance, bespoke to each PCN with a commonality across the delivery to centralise where possible tying in with national strategies such as Net Zero Agenda, Digital Agenda etc. This guidance provided by the Estates Manager will help shape the Primary Care functions moving forward.
The role is home based, meeting up with your local strategic estates team once a month in person to discuss ideas and promote best practice.
Duties of the role include:
- Develops and maintain relationships with the local Primary care networks and their individual practices in order effectively understand how they operate and issues they face
- Use the effective relationships to help influence and affect positive actions within those PCNs, even those potentially resistant to change
- Estates planning across the portfolio to ensure optimum asset performance
- Manage and develop national agenda for the portfolio such as workforce planning, digital agenda and Net Zero Carbon
- Resource planning and people management for both directly employed staff and subcontractors
- Identify future opportunity to enhance use of the existing NHS asset portfolio
- Transformation planning for any changes needed included M+E or Construction works such as small works projects or CAPEX as well as internal changes such as ICT and new digital requirements to improve efficiencies and ways of working

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Experience of the NHS and its partners, including knowledge of the national agenda.
- Experience of developing and delivering service offering in response to customer needs;
- Ability to understand the ask of a customer, develop this ask and deliver better outcomes;
- Developing partnerships across public and private sector organisations.
- Strategic thinking - ability to anticipate and resolve problems before they arise
- Knowledge of infrastructure planning and understanding of commercial cases for change.
- Experience of effective partnership working with other organisations at senior level, preferably a mix of private, public and local authority.
- Collaborator and expert in partnership working
- Excellent interpersonal, networking and communication skills
- Knowledge of digital, workforce and other enablers
- Experience of delivery at pace in a complex dynamic landscape
- LIFTCo Knowledge and understanding
- Ability to engage with individuals at all levels across numerous organisations
- Commercially and financially astute
