Mechanical Maintenance Plumber

Liverpool St - EC1N

£35,000 - £37,000 + Zone 1-2 travel card

Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day

We have two fantastic opportunities available working for a large Facilities Management company on a commercial office contract in central London, joining part of a larger team of engineers spread across multiple buildings in the city.

The successful candidate(s) will have a strong commercial background, and hold either a plumbing or mechanical maintenance qualification. They will be expected to integrate into the team of engineers and have a flexible attitude towards work, as well as supporting the wider business.

Duties and Responsibilities of the successful Mechanical Plumber:


  • Provide a reactive and proactive maintenance service
  • Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service, which covers electrical and mechanical disciplines as required
  • Work to a 1 in 6 call out rota - £100 standby allowance
  • Provide a service that ensures all mechanical and electrical equipment is running to optimum performance
  • Provide a service that ensures all key performance indicators are met
  • Carry out modifications and installations when required
  • Liaise with sub-contractors and external suppliers
  • Take ownership of tools and equipment provided and ensure they are maintained to an appropriate standard
  • Liaise with client/management

Qualifications and Experience for the Mechanical Plumber:


  • Mechanical Engineering Level 2/3 or Plumbing Level 2/3
  • Previous maintenance experience in a commercial environment and be flexible towards work & carry out duties that may not be specific to your trade
  • Very well presented
  • Client facing experience (desirable)
