Health and Safety and Environmental Advisor
Braintree
£30,000 - £40,000 plus benefits
Health & Safety and Environmental Advisor required to manage the safe running of the business operation to assist with the planning, co-ordinating, monitoring and reporting of all safety and environmental activity across the estate throughout the UK.
You will be responsible for ensuring all processes and procedures are written and implemented in line with ISO 14001 and 45001, assisting to gain the accreditation and maintain it.
Day to day duties and responsibilities:
- Training staff, contractors and visitors
- Writing and reviewing risk assesment's and reviewing contractor RAMS
- Implement the Health and Safety Plan
- Carry out Health and Safety and environmental audits, meeting the compliance standards.
- Be an interface between the facilities service providers and employees
- Create process maps and standard operating procedures to ensure compliance
- Assist with soft and hard facilities management and deputise for the Head of Facilities as and when needed
- Hold tool box talks for employees
You will be a confident communicator with great interpersonal skills. Be super focused and build good relationships.

You are resilient and tenacious and able to adapt to change, with a great planning skills and problem solving, diving deeper to find the root cause and love looking for solutions and innovative approached to contribute to continuous improvement.

You will need a minimum of IOSH or NEBOSH Managing Safely and an openess to work towards a NEBOSH Environmental Management Qualification
Experienced in supporting on Facilities Management or Maintenance Services would be a distinct advantage.
