Junior Electrical Estimator
Blackpool
Our client is looking for a Junior Electrical Estimator to join a M&E Contractor based in Blackpool who provide M&E services across multiple sectors including Schools, Leisure facilities and Care Homes, from design through to installation and commissioning.
You will be working under an Estimating Manager and collaborating with other departments for M&E bids.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Tender for electrical (mechanical) installation projects
Produce take-offs and measure specific items
·Produce final compilation of tenders
·Issue tender packages to sub-contractors and suppliers, ensuring all the relevant information is provided.
·Ensure quotations are received back by the specified date, in order to meet deadlines
Key Skills and experience Required
Ideally you will have 1 - 2 years experience as a Junior / Assistant Electrical (Mechanical) Estimator, but we would also very much consider a Qualified Engineer who has a desire to take up an Office based role within the Estimating department.
- Good communication skills
Computer literate
Good written skills and document organisation
Good knowledge of current electrical standards
Experience as a qualified electrician
- Pro-active team-player
