Permit Manager

Salisbury - SP4

£30,000 per annum + overtime

Role Purpose:

Responsible for the control and coordination of safe systems of work for contractors at site to ensure legal and contractual obligations. To understand the requirements in providing a flexible contract contractor administration service to a brand new account for the business.

Technical Competencies:

The ideal candidate will exhibit the following essential technical competencies for the role:

- IT literate in MS Office and systems management software

- Management experience in dealing with sub-contractors and supply chain.

- Previous responsibility in managing policies and systems such as H&S, QA, environmental and corporate

while complying with current and appropriate legislation and standards.

- Able to co-ordinate and manage multiple projects/works end-to-end across a diverse portfolio of multi-site

facilities.

- Experience of contractor/supply chain selection and general procurement processes.

- Proven track record in the development of positive contractor/Client relations and communications

The following technical competencies are desirable for the successful Compliance Coordinator:

- Valid formal Health & Safety qualification e.g. IOSH or NEBOSH

- Formal Training in some or all of the following

HTM02 Medical Gas Pressure Systems (MGPS)

HTM03 Heating & Ventilation (HVAC) - (potentially

local rules or ACDP guidance)

HTM04 Water Hygiene - (or ACOP L8)

HTM06 Electrical Low Voltage (or JSP)

HTM06 Electrical High Voltage (or JSP)

Steam & Pressure Systems (PSSR) (or JSP)

Behavioural Competencies:

- We are looking for a Permit Manager who remains calm under pressure, commands respect, has the

confidence of their colleagues and can communicate effectively at all levels.

- They will also be confident in making decisions and follow up their decisions with action, achieving

objectives by motivating and working through others.

- The ideal candidate should be able to view short-term targets in the light of longer-term objectives, work

within agreed systems and procedures, and maintain accurate records.

- The ideal candidate will continuously pursue high standards, embrace change, recognise improvement

opportunities and learn from experience.

- Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are adhered to for all tasks
