We are currently recruiting for a Technical Services Manager to oversee a commercial portfolio of over 300 buildings in the West Yorkshire area. Overseeing a hard services team, you will oversee all compliance and mechanical and electrical regulations. Working for the Account Director who is rsponsible for the operation and direction of the department, you will ensure all contractual compliance on the M+E assets working with the government maintenance standards so a high level of technical knowledge is required for the role. The contract has a value of circa £6m with scope for growth so we are looking for an experienced Technical Services Manager to come in and drive performance and work closely with the customer to ensure satisfaction on the contract.

Duties of the role include:


  • Overseeing all technical aspects of the contract including, ppm, reactive works, minor works and technical compliance.
  • Working closely with the planning manager to identify areas of improvement in service delivery and KPI’s, improving delivery and reducing penalties.
  • Be an escalation for technical issues on the contract.
  • Manage the £6m budget and overcome and commercial challenges, escalating issues to the Account Director
  • Overseeing subcontractors as well as engineers making sure the works are completed to a high standard and within regulations with appropriate paperwork for audit.
  • Client liaison to ensure the customer is satisfied with the service.
  • Continuous improvement - always looking to give a more efficient services and enhanced customer experience while driving profitability and making cost savings.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:


  • Experience managing a large hard service contract.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH
  • Mechanical or Electrical qualifications
  • AP advantageous
  • Strong H+S knowledge and technical compliance knowledge
  • Experience managing supervisors/engineers on a ppm and reactive maintenance contract.
