Maintenance and Projects Manager
Braintree - Essex
Up to £55,000 plus benefits
Hexagon FM are working on behalf of the end client who specialise in selling highly sought-after products across the UK. They have a range of showrooms across the country and two distribution centres and a HQ, which is based in Essex.
They are on a rapid growth trajectory and as a result, they are building a new in house FM Function which will develop an effective Facilities Maintenance solution to look after the properties across the UK, using a mix of in house engineers and outsourced contractors.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Planning and Implementing a PPM Schedule for the estate
- Engaging and selecting contractors to manage the maintenance in line with SFG20
- Experienced in building services systems and design, with thorough knowledge of CDM Regulations
- Previously managed medium/ large projects
- Experience of managing budgets and preparing financial reports for the Head of FM
- Be responsible for ensuring all contractors are working safely and effectively to serve the contract well
- Producing and evaluating risk and method statements (RAMS)
- Brilliant problem solving and solution building skills
- Great communication skills and used to managing relationships with key stakeholders and contractors.
- Able to manage from a safety first view and with great service in mind.
You will ideally be qualified to degree, HNC or HND level or an equivalent relevant discipline
Hold membership of a relevant body such as IWFM, CIBSE, IET or RICS or equivalent
Computer literate and able to use CAFM systems and various Microsft packages.
Qualified with IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH or SMSTS.

This role offers a salary between £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience and a benefits package with mileage allowance. Therefore, you must have a driving licence.
