Procurement and Administration Co-ordinator

Braintree - Essex

Up to £35,000

A Procurement and Administration Co-ordinator is required to join a growing private client who specialise in selling highly sought-after products across the UK. They have a range of showrooms across the country and two distribution centres and a HQ, which is based in Essex.

The portfolio is growing rapidly, and they are now looking to set up a facilities management team to manage the maintenance, upkeep, and projects within the portfolio, which is there this role comes in.

Your key objective will be to work with the Head of Facilities to help them manage the responses to the PQQ's and tenders as they formalise their FM function, engaging with a range of subcontractors.

You will be responsible for logging and cataloguing all the tender responses initially for assessment for suitability and contract award. This will involve checking their insurances, capability, coverage, pricing, and policies, working alongside the Head of FM and the Health, Safety and Environmental Co-ordinator.

Following the initial procurement project, you will then be responsible for the day-to-day relationship with the contractors, logging jobs, obtaining quotes, and assigning the relevant contractors based on their skill base and coverage.

You will also be required to monitor their effectiveness to respond, as this will be measured by the Head of FM.

This role is within a family run business, with a great growth trajectory and a lovely culture. They are looking for people with great ideas, who enjoy working as part of a team. It's a brand-new role and you will be joined by other new roles as the company are expanding. So, it's a great time to make your make and set up the processes and help shape them with the team.

What you will need

  • Previous procurement experience supporting a medium to large business

  • A natural ability for planning and organisation

  • The ability to manage multiple contractor relationships at any one time

  • Great problem solving skills

  • Tenacious and adaptable, able to work under pressure in a changing environment.

You will also need a driving licence as occasional travel to contractor offices or company sites may be required - a pool car can be provided.

They are currently doing a mix of work from home and office based within safe guidelines. You will need to be able to get to Brentwood and later to Braintree as they open their brand-new HQ.

The role offers a salary of up to £35,000 plus benefits and the chance to work towards a CIPS and IOSH qualification to support your career with the company as they want to invest in their people.

We invite applications from people from all backgrounds and look forward to welcoming you to their team.

This vacancy is being managed exclusively and solely for the client by Hexagon FM.
