General Operations Manager -Bristol

Our client is one of the UK's leading refrigeration and air conditioning wholesalers.

Established over 56 years ago, they currently have 27 wholesale distribution sites throughout the UK and Ireland as well as specialist supply divisions and our own manufacturing facility in Portsmouth.

They are now looking to recruit a General Operations Manager to join the dedicated t eam based in Bristol.

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and overseeing daily operations of the branch align with the vision of the company and ensure that customer expectations are met.

Having an excellent level level of education and ideally with a professional leadership and management qualification you will have proven experience of both employee and client management and ideally will have proven experience in the air conditioning and /or refrigeration industry. Experience gained from a similar service driven background will be considered.

Job Accountabilities:

    Overseeing the daily operations of the business unit, ensuring targets are achieved and reporting key branch results to Senior Management and Directors.

    Ideally the successful candidate would have some level of engineering, and technical knowledge to confidently discuss the various options available from our product portfolio and advise the customer accordingly however, product training and support will be offered to the successful person.

    Responsibility for leading the team via effective operational management and compliance, whilst encouraging an environment for continuous improvement.

    Developing effective relationships with key managers across the wider group and to develop sound working practices to meet both todays and future needs of the business.

    Identify, develop and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels and to be the main point of contact for all high level operational queries.

    Providing direct management of key functional supervisors at the branch and to develop the team through effective people management to include training, team meetings, one to ones, objective setting that stretch and develop colleagues.
