This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional post holder to make a significant contribution to the University of Chichester’s strategy and decision-making, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

The Director of Estates and Facilities Management must be a senior and experienced post holder who will make a significant contribution to the strategic aims of the University. The broad remit and key responsibilities for the role will include the successful delivery of current and new major building projects, proactive asset management across all physical infrastructure, long term maintenance planning and execution, environmental sustainability, health and safety, facilities and operational management and delivery across all aspects of campus and residential services. The post holder will also play a key role in the execution of a transformational project for our accommodation portfolio which is of high strategic significance for the University.

The role is permanent and full-time, carrying on the significant projects and achievements already made in 2021.  The role provides an excellent opportunity to move to the next stage in your career and the opportunity to work in the interesting and diverse Higher Education sector. 

The Director will be employed on a senior management employee contract.

It is essential you are a fully qualified Property, Building, Estate or Facility Management specialist with a strong track record as a leader and senior manager in a large organisation.

Key skills include excellent interpersonal and influential communication and negotiating skills, as well as the ability to inspire, develop and manage large teams and deliver consistently against plans and budgets.
