Build Recruitment are working with a University in the Midlands to source an Engineering Manager (Mechanical bias). Salary: £42,000 - £50,000.
Reporting into the Head of Engineering, the Engineering Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Engineering across the estate as well as managing small engineering projects from inception to completion (to include design). For larger projects, the Engineering Manager will be responsible for procuring external consultant design teams.
Managing a small team, the Engineering Manager is also responsible for various engineering systems to include the BMS and AMR systems.
Educated to Degree level in an Engineering or Building Services related discipline, it is essential that applicants have experience of BMS and AMR systems. It would be advantageous to hold a professional membership such as: CIBSE, CEng or IMechE (although this is not essential).
Due to multiple stakeholder groups (internal and external) my client is looking for a well organised, thorough and articulate Engineering Manager who possesses excellent communication skills and demonstrates a collaborative style of working.
Benefits include:
Up to 21.1% pension (based on employee contribution of 9.6%)
