Junior/Trainee Maintenance Engineer
£20,000.00 - £24,000.00 (Experience dependant)
Monday - Friday / 08:00 - 17:00 - NO CALL OUTS

We are looking to a recruit a Junior/Trainee Maintenance Engineer to be based within a well established maintenance company, covering a variety of different commercial sites. We are wanting to find a candidate who is looking to progress themselves through the Facilities Management industry and happy to work alongside another engineer whilst learning on the job. The ideal candidate will progress into a fully fledged maintenance engineer and become qualified to do so in their time within the business.
Responsibilities to learn:
- Provide a reactive and pro-active maintenance service as per project requirements to all operational equipment
- Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service, which covers electrical and building fabric disciplines
- Carry out modifications and installations when required
- Liaise with contractors or external suppliers where required and clearly communicate technical issues
- Provide a service that ensures all key performance indicators are met
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance
- Take ownership of tools and equipment provided and ensure maintained to an appropriate standard, reporting any defects immediately
- Continuously look to improve equipment efficiencies and cost reductions
- Maintain, repair, and calibrate electrical, mechanical and instrumentation plant to optimise both reliability and maintainability
- Complete any required paperwork, produce reports accurately and on a timely basis

Experience/Qualifications:
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions (where able to do so)
- Ability to communicate effectively both in verbal and written communication
- Pro-active and positive approach to work
