Title
Riser & Sub Main Electrician
£33k + OTR
Based in Wolverhampton
Summary specification:
To provide an effective and efficient electrical maintenance and installation service to Clients. This service is carried out in support of both private clients and on behalf of electrical distribution companies.
Reporting to:
Company Technical Manager
Responsibilities:
Any other reasonable tasks as may be requested from time to time.
Install Sub mains to comply with BS7671 18 TH Edition with test results recorded on remedial sheet/on tablet based systems.
Meticulously plan safe and acceptable routes for replacement risers & sub mains.
To install temporary supply cables or temporarily make safe damaged installations until suitable time to permanently repair/replace.
Respond to emergency riser/sub mains including cut out fires as available.
Regularly liaise with line manage to discuss any issues relating to risers/sub mains.
Raise deficiencies in stock levels of riser / sub main spare parts.
Complete weekly/one per shift, vehicle inspections
Any other reasonable tasks as may be requested from time to time.
Update/use/create information on the company systems i.e. Salesforce/Pulsar, in real-time
Minimum Qualification & Experience:
18 th Edition (time served)
Apprenticeship or equivalent
NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation work / City & Guilds 2360 Electrical Installation Theory Part 2 / Achievement Measurement 2 or equivalent
A full UK driving licence (minimal points preferable)

A technical knowledge in a similar environment an advantage.
Be of a good physical health to enable field work requirements.
Be familiar with all aspects of safe working practices and to comply with the company HS requirements.
Able to produce quality work that meets the standards of both Haste, its clients and that is acceptable to the customer.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
To ensure any Company requirements regarding Risk Assessments, Health & safety, operational requirements are carried out as per the Company Procedures and are communicated to all relevant operatives or staff as required by the Company Procedures.
Ensure all jobs have a Risk Assessment completed.
If on site complete Risk Assessments.
Ensure the employees complete Risk Assessments and that they are familiar with Method Statements and company procedures.
To use or request for use, any PPE and or equipment as may be required to perform the role in a safe manner.
Be familiar with all aspects of safe working practices and to comply with the company HS manual requirements (reporting within 30 minutes).
Familiar with all aspects associated with environmental issues, including COSHH issues
Ensure COSHH documents are issued if the employees are given works with COSHH related materials.
Ensure any incidents are reported, including incidents witnessed, that involve the DNO and not Haste.
Reporting any H&S incident or near miss to Line Manager/Supervisor using the company documents as per MN301.
Environmental Responsibilities:
To ensure any Company requirements regarding Environmental operational requirements are carried out as per the Company Procedures and communicated to all relevant operatives or staff as required by the Company Procedures.
Quality Responsibilities:
To ensure any Company requirements regarding Quality are carried out as per the Company Procedures and communicated to all relevant operatives or staff as required by the Company Procedures.
General:
Providing a prompt and efficient response is a key objective of the organisation and meeting this objective is by giving clear information on any reporting sheets.
The role is key in meeting company objectives and the jobholder must be flexible in their approach in a number of environments and scenarios.
