We are recruiting for a commercial maintenance plumber to cover PPM and reactive maintenance on a mobile basis in the Yorkshire area. The maintenance plumber will be responsible for all repairs and upkeep to the water and basic mechanical building services on commercial facilities across the area plus general fabric maintenance and handyperson tasks. The position has temp to perm and permanent options. Salary 25-27k depending on experience. Vehicle supplied. Mon-Fri 45 hours per week door to door plus overtime.
Maintenance Plumber Description:
To travel to each facility completing reactive repairs, planned maintenance and small works projects. To cover the following plant:
Hot and cold water feeds
Leak repairs
Radiators and heating
Drainage
Bathroom / toilet pipework and water services
Mechanical plant room
Fabric maintenance duties – basic joinery, painting etc.
Water heaters and cylinders
Water Tank
L8 prevention and thermostatic mixer valves
Plus other associated tasks
Plumber Requirements:
Candidates will be time served and have as a minimum City and Guilds in Plumbing / Mech Engineering
Applicants are expected to have several years prior experience some of which will have been in a similar role and have good customer skills.
It is essential staff are self-motivated and promote a “Can do” customer attitude at all times.
Valid driving license
Ability and desire to complete general fabric maintenance tasks
Be prepared to undertake training as required by the post and the contract manager.
Operate all systems within the building in a competent, effective and efficient manner, adhering to relevant guidelines and bulletins.
