Mobile Mechanical , Internal pump specialist Engineer
Are Customner who are a Medium Sized well established HVAC service provider are looking to appoint a Mechcanical pump specialist / general electro - mechanical engineer, summary of main duties normally found but not an exhaustive list:
£38,000 to £42,000 Plus OT , Call out , Pension , Health Care , progression , Phone , PPE , fully expensed Vehicle , 25 days holiday and secure job !!!!
Cold water booster sets:
· Replace expansion vessels
· Replace / install isolation valves / drain off points
· Replace bearings
· Replace mechanical seals
· Replace manifold isolation non-return valves
· Replace transducers / gauges
· Investigate faults on pump sets mainly Lowara & Grundfos
· Remedial works to control panels, fuses, relays, contactors etc.
· Carry out Annual, 6-monthly & quarterly servicing as per SFG 20
· CAT5 booster set works
Small plant room sump pumps:
· Carry out Annual, 6-monthly & quarterly servicing as per SFG 20
· Install replacement pumps where required
· Carry out remedial work such as replace NRV’s
· Clear flooded pits with aqua pump / aqua vac
Sewage station / surface water station:
· Carry out non-invasive servicing
· Investigate faults
· Unblock pumps
· Control panel remedials
· Replace float switches
· Potential other work within skill set
General mechanical duties:
· Multi-skilled duties
· Confined space Harton Pod remedials, solenoid valves, etc.
· Fan coil filter maintenance
· AHU & A/C filter maintenance
· Supply & extract fan maintenance
· Replace tank inlet valves
· Heat recovery unit filter replacement
Irrigation pump systems:
· Servicing and repairs
Reactive works:
· Attend calls for tripped sewage / surface water pumps
· No water calls – reset booster pumps / investigate faults
· Investigate boosted water pipework leaks
· Replace bearings and mechanical seals
· Replace pump inverters
· Replace control panels components
· Investigate configuration issues
· Investigate pressure / flow rate issues
Installation work:
· Install new pump / motor to existing multi-pump booster set
· Install new compact 1 or 2 pump single dwelling booster set
· Potential other work within skill set
Other general duties: (not main job role but could be called upon subject to skill set)
· All mobile engineers are to take part in on call duties for 1-week currently on a 1 in 8 rota
· General static site duties to assist or cover holidays
· Minor plumbing repairs
· Surveys for quotes
· Parts & prices requisitions
· H&C temperature monitoring
· Sampling
