An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for a healthcare organisation as a Senior Estate Officer – Electrical bias. The post will be working in London on an interim basis for 6 months on a band 6-7.

Responsible for the operational management of electrical services across London sites including BMS, fire safety, automatic door, access control, PAT testing, fixed wire testing, lifts and more.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the provision of electrical services, ensuring that these are safe and available for their intended use, and that the organisation complies with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements;
  • Day to day management of reactive maintenance on matters related to electrical services;
  • Ensure implementation of safe systems of works in line with HTM, HSE and guidance;
  • Manage, monitor and co-ordinate all electrical services ensuring that they are operated and maintained in accordance with all relevant current legislation and standards;
  • Advise the Maintenance & Compliance Manager on all aspects of electrical services ensuring compliance with NHS guidance, health and safety standards, statutory compliance, codes of practice and regulations and that activities are carried out in the most cost effective and efficient way;
  • Demonstrate the provision of high quality, integrated services which are managed within set budgetary limits and demonstrate value for money through benchmarking against similar organisations;
  • Analyse complex contractual data to ensure service contracts/SLAs are delivering to the agreed specification. Identify areas of efficiency that can be achieved from within the contract/SLA, to meet the service needs whilst operating within budget parameters;
  • Develop and manage documentation systems including policies, procedures, registers, logbooks, and maintenance records, within all areas of responsibility.

A successful candidate will have:

  • Educated to Degree level in relevant Electrical Engineering or Building Services equivalent experience;
  • Professional knowledge acquired through estate services management;
  • IOSH or equivalent H&S qualification;
  • Management of H&S/Risk;
  • Experience managing across electrical services;
  • Proven knowledge of Maintenance Services related compliance management, including Asbestos;
  • Good communicator, import and receive clearly and concisely;
  • Ability to remain professionally sound under pressure.
